Massive congratulations to Mel Pharaoh for becoming a finalist in this years Land Based & the Environment Awards at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham. Mel completed her Crop Technician Apprenticeship in Commercial Horticulture during 2024 winning the Midland Regional Growers Apprentice of the Year Awards at Malvern Spring Show in May. Mel then went on to become a finalist at this prestigious national event. Mel is now a Crop Technician on our Madley site with special responsibility for our Rose container production. Congratulations from everyone at Allensmore.

With some good spring weather we are busy planting rose stock plants. We will graft onto these stock plants this summer to make plants for lifting autumn 2026. It is a long term crop!

Every year at Allensmore we offer crop technician apprenticeships. These two year apprenticeships lead towards a level 3 qualification in commercial plant production. Students learn on site on our nurseries and attend Pershore College for 5 weeks per year. Meet our newest recruits Matthew, Nicole and Noah.
